The Momoprot was built as a contribution to the Chilean uprising during my stay as the January 2020 B.A.S.E. Artist in Residence at Tsonami Arte Sonoro in Valparaíso, Chile. Protests were held weekly, even daily, until the Covid-19 lockdowns. The Momoprot emphasized the power of rhythm in collective expressions in protests and marches in the port city of Valparaíso.
